The Asian Australian Lawyers Association was formed in 2013 to promote cultural diversity in the law and to call attention to the under representation of Asian Australian lawyers in the judiciary, appointments of silk, barristers, Partners at law firms, senior Law lecturers.
The Association also provides education, mentoring and networking.
The Hon Michael Kirby (former High Court Judge) is the national patron of the Association.
The Association now has branches in VIC, NSW and QLD.
The Association is now looking to launch a branch in WA and I have been the driving force behind the WA branch.
We are looking to officially launch the WA branch on 5 July 2017.AALA Poster
